Zeytinburnu Kitchen Countertops Service
Marble and granite kitchen countertops in Zeytinburnu — free survey, workshop fabrication, professional installation.
A kitchen countertop is the most-touched, most heavily used, and most visible surface in any home. At Öz Emek Mermer, we've been working with marble, granite, sintered porcelain, and quartz composite for kitchen countertop projects in Istanbul since 2009 — instead of forcing a material onto a kitchen, we fit the material to the kitchen.
We regularly deliver projects in the Zeytinburnu area; we plan survey and installation on an appointment basis.
Choosing a kitchen countertop is a technical decision as much as an aesthetic one. Marble offers a warm, silky texture and a classic, inviting look, especially in veined surfaces like Calacatta, Carrara, and Afyon White. Granite, on the other hand, is more resistant to scratches and impact thanks to its crystalline structure, so it holds up for years without deforming in busy family kitchens. We work with both materials in the same workshop, with the same precision, and help you decide during the site survey which one truly suits your kitchen.
Every marble and granite kitchen countertop project starts with an on-site measurement. Our team comes to your kitchen and takes millimeter-precise measurements of cabinet tops, cooktop and sink cutouts, and outlet and faucet holes. This template is then transferred to our workshop's CNC cutting machines, so the edge profile, corner radii, and cooktop/sink cutouts are machined with laboratory-level precision — eliminating the millimeter-level deviations common with traditional hand-cutting.

Countertop thickness is determined by how intensively the surface will be used. A standard kitchen typically calls for 2 cm granite or marble, while kitchen islands and wide spans get 3 cm with reinforced substructure support where needed. Sintered porcelain and quartz composite countertops come in 12 mm and 20 mm options; we recommend 20 mm for heavily used surfaces, for both durability and appearance.
Waterfall edges have become one of the most requested details in Istanbul kitchens in recent years. The vein pattern on the countertop surface flows uninterrupted down the side of the island, turning the natural pattern of the marble or granite into a sculptural feature. This cut requires the vein direction to be marked on the slab beforehand and the piece to be cut from a single block, so we take extra care at the template and slab-selection stage.
Sink integration is another critical point in any countertop project. We offer top-mount, undermount, and fully integrated sinks carved from the same material as the countertop. Undermount sinks are especially popular on marble and quartz composite counters because they leave no visible seam on the surface and are easier to keep clean.

Marble and granite require different care routines. Because of its calcium carbonate structure, marble is sensitive to acidic liquids like lemon juice, vinegar, and wine, so we apply a sealant after installation and recommend wiping up spills promptly. Granite is far less porous, so a damp cloth is usually enough for everyday cleaning, with an annual sealant application for extra peace of mind. Sintered porcelain and quartz composite surfaces are virtually non-porous and need no special care at all.
Pricing depends on the material type, slab rarity, thickness, edge profile, and the number of cutouts required. We provide a transparent, project-specific quote through our quote form or at your site survey, with no surprise add-on charges. A typical countertop project takes 7–10 business days from templating to installation; special imported slabs may take longer depending on supply lead times.
You can request a free survey in any district of Istanbul, either through our showroom or by booking an appointment over WhatsApp. The marble and granite kitchen countertops produced at our workshop in Sancaktepe are shipped regularly to projects across the city — from Kadıköy to Beylikdüzü and Üsküdar to Pendik, our work is in hundreds of kitchens.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What determines the price of Marble and Granite Kitchen Countertops Zeytinburnu?+
The price of Kitchen Countertops depends on the material chosen (marble, granite, quartz composite, or sintered porcelain), slab rarity, thickness, edge profile, and the number of cutouts required. For every project Zeytinburnu, we provide a written, transparent quote after the site survey.
How do I choose between marble and granite for Kitchen Countertops?+
Marble offers a warmer, more richly veined look, while granite is more resistant to scratches and impact. For Kitchen Countertops projects, we help you choose the right material by weighing usage intensity, the humidity level of the space, and your maintenance preferences together.
How long does Marble and Granite Kitchen Countertops take to complete?+
A standard Kitchen Countertops project takes an average of 7–10 business days from templating/measurement to installation. For special imported slabs or larger-scale projects, this can take longer depending on slab availability; we provide the exact schedule in writing after the site survey.
Do you offer a free site survey for Marble and Granite Kitchen Countertops Zeytinburnu?+
Yes. We offer a free survey and on-site measurement for Kitchen Countertops projects in every district of Istanbul, including Zeytinburnu; you can book an appointment through our showroom or our WhatsApp line.
How should I maintain Marble and Granite Kitchen Countertops?+
Marble surfaces need pH-neutral cleaning and an annual sealant refresh, while granite surfaces just need a daily wipe-down with a damp cloth and occasional sealing. After installation, we provide a maintenance schedule tailored to your Kitchen Countertops.
Which is more durable for Kitchen Countertops, marble or granite?+
Thanks to its silicate structure, granite is more resistant to scratching and wear than marble, so it holds up for years without deforming in heavily used Kitchen Countertops applications. Marble can also be long-lasting with proper care — it's just more sensitive to acidic liquids.
Is there a warranty on Marble and Granite for Kitchen Countertops projects?+
Yes, we provide a free on-site warranty fix for any installation-related issues (such as open grout lines or misalignment). Manufacturing defects in the material are also covered, including slab replacement where needed.
How many days does Marble and Granite installation take for Kitchen Countertops?+
This varies by the scope of Kitchen Countertops, but a standard installation is completed in half a day to a few days; larger-area projects can take up to 4–6 days. The exact schedule is confirmed during the site survey.
Do you deliver Marble and Granite Zeytinburnu?+
Yes, we regularly ship materials and send our installation team from our workshop in Sancaktepe to every district of Istanbul, including Zeytinburnu.
Can I see samples for Marble and Granite Kitchen Countertops?+

Does the price for Marble and Granite Kitchen Countertops include installation?+
Our quotes clearly break down material, cutting, and installation costs — either separately or combined; there are no hidden extra charges in the price we quote for Kitchen Countertops.
Does Marble and Granite stain after Kitchen Countertops?+
Marble is a porous stone, so it's sensitive to acidic liquids like lemon juice, vinegar, and wine; granite is far less porous and more resistant to staining. The sealant applied after installation significantly reduces the risk of staining on your Kitchen Countertops surface.
What payment options are available for Marble and Granite Kitchen Countertops?+
Based on the terms set out in the quote prepared after the site survey, payment can be arranged as a lump sum or in installments; we finalize the exact payment plan for Kitchen Countertops together with you at the quote stage.
Can I renovate my old Kitchen Countertops with Marble and Granite?+
Yes, removal of the existing surface, floor preparation, and the new marble or granite installation are all handled under one roof; depending on the condition of the existing surface, we evaluate whether to remove it or install over it.
What is the ideal thickness for Marble and Granite Kitchen Countertops?+
This varies depending on the application, but Kitchen Countertops projects generally use 2-3 cm marble/granite or 12-20 mm quartz composite/sintered porcelain; we determine the right thickness together during the site survey.
